This hotel is a beautiful half-timbered country house, situated in the village of Salderatzen, in the Elbufer-Drawehn nature park, in Lower Saxony. The Herrenhaus Salderatzen is a listed building. It was built in 1900 as a farmhouse, and it is set in a spacious courtyard. This is a completely non-smoking hotel. There are no televisions or telephones in the rooms, meaning that you can have a particularly restful stay. After a beautifully undisturbed night’s sleep, wake up in the morning to a rich buffet breakfast. The large courtyard is a great place to take it easy, meet other hotel guests, sit on the grass, have a snooze, chat, barbecue, meal or whatever you please. Relax in this natural country environment. Lie back in the Finnish sauna with its panoramic view, have a game of table-tennis, volleyball or basketball, or meet the cats, dog, hens, sheep or hedgehogs in the petting zoo.

Salderatzen is situated in the heart of the Wendland region. The countryside consists of charmingly restored villages surrounded by vast meadows, fields and woods. Salderatzen is a tiny village, with just 8 houses and 30 inhabitants. This in an ideal area for relaxing, hiking, cycling and general sightseeing. There are 13 museums in the surrounding area, providing plenty of cultural fascination here near the banks of the River Elbe.
